Best Camcorder for travelling

Hey all,

I am off on holiday to india next feb, and I am trying to decide which camcorder to buy. I just want a cheap and cheerful one as dont want something expensive gettting damaged, storage is a problem, I will be there for 3 weeks, I am only buying for the trip so I can film as well as use my camera.

I suppose my main priorities are being able to have enough storage whether it be tapes, dvd or card. Also battery life and cost of additional batteries.

any advice would be greatly appreciated

cheers

james

A rough idea of budget might help.

£200 max or under would be ideal, i dont want to risk damaging anything more expensive!

Think about what is important to you. I had the same problem I will be going world travelling for 1 year and a half but decided to opt for the Canon HF100 (About £450 after rebate). It's HD and very good quality, but it will at least be still worth something when I get back. If i lose it/damage it, I can just get a new one on insurance out there, also I will wanted my memories recorded to the best quality possible :-D
