Recording AV-input with Canon MV530i

Hi Everyone,

I am a complete n00b here so please go easy!!

I have recently bought a Canon MV530i and a bullet cam from rfconcepts to put together a helmet cam rig to use on my Bike.

However, from what I can get from the manual I need a remote to record using the bullet cam during AV-IN playback.......and of course I don;t have the remote.

If anyone is familiar with this model of camera and knows how to record from AV-IN without a remote then please can they let me know.

Alternatively if anyone knows a way to simulate the remote using a universal remote or some other clever trick then that would also be great.

Thanks in advance,

Al.
