1 sec Freeze HV20 Dropouts ???

I've been getting a minor problem with my HV20 since I purchased it, with the occational 1 sec freeze on play back, usually at the begining of a recording, 3 or more per tape.
Will this be a dropout ???
Use Sony prem. tapes
I've never put a cleaning tape through it yet as the picture quality is still good, bur I've never experienced dropouts before on standard DV so wouldn't know what one was.
I have a Canon cleaning tape, will it be OK to use that when I'm using Sony tape ?
Do you have to clean HDV heads more regularly than standard DV ?

Dropouts occur more with HDV , so clean the head if you can.
There is no special HDV head but HDV uses a process to compress more Video information on similar tape using the same bitrate as DV so error correction needs to be more fine. The head is identical
Sony Prenuom tapes are fine . IApart from initial foray withthe specisl tapes its all ive ever used and I very rarery get dropouts on the HC1 and FX1
