TV Out from FX5200

I am having difficulty in sending an .AVI file through the TV out socket on my FX5200 card to record onto a standard video recorder. I can export using the firewire cable, but I can only bring this back into my camera. I am using the yellow AV cable and cannot see any obvious settings from the video card software. I see absolutely nothing when connecting via this route. Any help would be appreciated.
