Sony Vegas Movie Studio 8 Platinum Edition

Hi All

I am interested in buying the sony vegas studio 8 platinum edition, but need to know if
1) it will work on my Windows Vista Home edition
2) is it any good and recommended for use with my Sony HDR - Sr10 camcorder

I use this for my HDR-SR12 on Vista Ultimate
SO I would say
YES
....be aware that Vegas platinum 9 is now available !
