Moving Things in Vegas

Hi Guys,

Just a quick one.
I have created a video, about 1 hr 30 mins long. I have it all sat in the timeline in vegas.

I need to delete a section from the middle. After i have deleted it, is there anyway that i can bunch the remainder of the timeline up to the part before the deletion.

Obvioulsy i can go through a select each clip and move, but is there a way that i can just drag everything after/before a set point?

Thanks

Re: Moving Things in Vegas

I'm still getting to grips with Vegas myself and haven't tried this yet, but I believe you need to enable 'ripple editing' to tell Vegas to fill the gaps you've created.

You can do a post-edit ripple to close deleted areas from the edit menu. There are keyboard short-cuts (hotkeys) to perform the action too, but I can't remember them.

I hope that's enough to get you going.

Re: Moving Things in Vegas

OK, Brilliant thanks, ill give that a go.

On a seperate but same issue, if i have the timeline and want to insert something right in the middle, how do i select everything to the right of my point and move it further along the tiumeline so i can put things in the middle?

Thanks again for your help.
