But "good" full free versions.?. Not really

What were you hoping to edit from anyway?

Windows Movie Maker is free and does not need downloading

freeDV used to be available as freeware, if you can find a copy anywhere it's probably the best free software you'll find for editing

Avid dont give it out anymore..

but It may still be hosted Elsewhere on an a PC
I might even have it
However Im not sure it edited mpegs ect which are more prevalent these days
