Audio stutter when capturing video

Hi,

Weird problem that pccurs approx half way through capturing video from Camcorder.

All is running fine using ulead video studio 8 for many years, then just today approx half way through the capture teh Audio gets all stuttery but teh video is caopturing fine.

When I play it back again on PC the video is fine but audio is bad, but playing the tape itself on teh camcorder all is fine.

Any odeas where to look

Firewire cable? HDD needing defraging??
Try using WINDV to rule out a software glitch
VS8 is a tad old now..

Cheers will give them all a try.

Any recommendations for video editing software that will also create DVD files and burn etc.

If you like Video Studio you might as well stick with it as it does just that
Vers 10s 11 , 11.5 and 12 ( called CorelX2) are around now
Most current software will create DVDs
Diffeerences in ability arent huge. It is User friendliness and System specs and how you get on with it that make a difference
