Help! Trying to capture VHS to DV using JVC GR-DX95

I am trying to transfer my old VHS tapes to digital using a JVC GR-DX95 cam so that I can then send them to my pc using firewire.
However, the manual states that the a/v adapter and cable (s-video/audio/video/editing) included with the cam only allow for the reverse situation (using the cam as a player and VHS VCR as the recorder.

The manual says an "output cable adapter" is required and is commercially available. However, I have checked tons of websites including JVC's site, and can find nothing of the sort!

Can anyone please help!

Thanks.

I know this may sound obvious but.......

have you tried useing the supplied cable. I have a DV cam and to capture analogue to DV I just use the AV cable and set the cam to VCR mode.
Also, if you want to get the analogue video onto your PC you might be able to use your cam as a converter without actually recording to a DV tape. The cam might just pass the signal through converting it to DV so the PC can capture it.

Then I would suggest you go to the JVC web site and send them an e-mail asking for advise on getting the required lead. It does look like you need the dedicated lead
