Hdr-sdr12e & vrd-mc5
Has anyone any experience of using a VRD-MC5 (Sony portable DVD Recorder) with an SDR12E. I am going on holiday and want to archive 1920 X 1080 and photo material to DVD for later editing. The manual says the 120GB disk holds 14 hours of recording at HD.

If I have understood the MC5 manual you can't use DL DVD's or re-write with AVCHD; have to use 1 DVD per dub.

You must be away for some time if 14 hours isn't going to cover it!

You are dead right but the mc5 looks a nifty machine having looked at it.
