I have recently bought Pinnacle Studio Version 8.

The problem is I can`t start the program.
When I click on the desktop icon to launch the program I get error message:
"There is a problem with the studio 8 license installation.Please re-install studio 8 to resolve this problem"

I have done so many times as requested, but it will not start, can anyone shed some light on this for me.

BTW: the discs are originals & brand new

I would look to see if you have had a previous copy or trial package installed on your machine.

I would uninstall pinnacle, open the registry and do a search for pinnacle. There might be something left over from a previous install. Also delete the sub dir (might be some files in there)

Course you can mess your PC up, so be careful.

This is a little prgram that cleans your registry, allowing you to re-install studio 8 or it's lincense

I`ve uninstalled Studio 8 & Content, opened the registry & typed in Pinnacle. The search comes up with 2 lines

Default REG_SZ C:\Program Files\Pinnacle\Shared Files\Filter\MPG1_2DecodeSample.ax

and

ThreadingModel REG_SZ Both

I don`t know what they are, or if this is indeed the problem.
What should I do ?
