TG1 / TG3 Sony - workaround to sync?

any idea on how syncronize two TG1 ??

I need to sycronize recording for 3D video...so sync must be perfect

via software???
via hdmi ?

I'm afraid it will end on rely on my two tumbs syncronism
or on building a meccanical control

Re: TG1 / TG3 Sony - workaround to sync?

I would imagine that software is the only way to do this.

Set up the 2 cams, start one then the other, shout "action" and that gives a sync point in editing.

I agree with the last post. It is easy to find the same frame and syncronize if you look at the soundwaves.

Re: TG1 / TG3 Sony - workaround to sync?

that's okay but 3d requires far more precision especially in fast movements

tecnically if you want the depths to be accurate , say, then shutter mis-sync errors should not lead to deviations more than 1/300'th the width of the film, for HD that would be 6.6 pixels

if the two videos did not started exactly at the same time fast actions will not give a good 3d effect
