Sub £200 Camcorder with video input

Hello

Does anyone know of a good camcorder at sub £200 price mark with a video input on it so i can connect a seperate camera to it.
Ideally with SD or hdd recording, and maybe hd this is not very important tho.

Thanks in advance

Re: Sub £200 Camcorder with video input

HDD or SD card camcorders with AV-in are probably non existent
whether Hi Def or Standard Def

MiniDV is but apart from some JVC models ( above £200 )
the only ones I can think of are Canons HV 20 and 30

Some cheaper units might have AV in - this young fella was asking a related question a few weeks back. The European version of the camcorder he ended up opting for doesn't have AV in, though.

Re: Sub £200 Camcorder with video input

It come up from time to time and most times what folk get never seem to do what they want especially as so low a cost

There are some " gadgets" able to take a bullet cam ect but I wouldn't put them in the same sentence as camcorders with Av input as such

NO!

Nobody is persuading you to get a tape model but they are best VFM in many regards
I know of the JVC models ( I mentioned them in my first post) but have no extensive hands on experience with them
( Your link doesnt work)
Ive only seen them in a HI FI /AV/ Video show but not in any shops so Im not sure of Uk availability .. and cost
but
DVD camcorder with AV in .. Nah!

Re: Sub £200 Camcorder with video input

Ah i think i will avoid the dvd cams then

Not sure why the link doesn't work seems to here, its the JVC GZ-MS100 but that spec is from the us site so not sure if the uk one will have the av in
I want it to connect my bullet camera, but also want a camcorder at the same time.

UK site - http://jvc.co.uk/product.php?id=GZ-M...s#product-tabs

Appears not to: "-/•" is the entry in the specs sheet, where AV in = "-" and AV out = "•". I'm assuming "-" = "no" since "•" appears to mean "yes" in other entries.
