Best Hi Def camcorder under £250??

I'm after a hi def camcorder [for general filming, family holiday etc]

Have about £250 to spend, any recommendations?

Noticed that Toshiba have brought out a HD camcorder the H10 for £180 any reviews on it yet?

Any advice most welcome.

There are 2 Aiptek models on qvcuk.com

Aiptek AHD Z500 1080P HD 5MP Digital Camcorder with 2.4" LCD & 4GB SD Card
Introductory Price £192.72 QVC Price £212.00

Aiptek AHD200 720P High Definition 5MP Compact Digital Camcorder with 2.4" LCD Introductory Price £120.84 QVC Price £133.00

How good they are though is another question. But they do have a 30 day money back return, if you do not like it.

Why Hi def?
You can get Hi def for your budget
but
AFAIK
Hi def has not become that pocket friendly yet and if you pay more You can can easily see where the money has gone
While YMMV I imagine it may be a disappointing experience if you dont up your budget, or get a decent SD model ..
At that budget there may only be a handful of decent SD performers ( never mind Hi def) especially if you wish to get a SD card or HDD model
