After editing on my pc can I put the finished article back onto a SDHC card and play it on a PS3?

Re: PS3 and AVCHD

If your editor will render an AVCHD file (many don't) then it should work. It should also play in the SDHC slot of a Panasonic HD plasma. Beware that most software that can read the AVCHD variant of H.264 can't actually author it.

Re: PS3 and AVCHD

Yes, the PS3 can play Mpeg4 (AVCHD, H264) or Mpeg2 HD video on an SDHC card, provided either...

You have a PS3 model with a built in card reader.

Or, you have an external USB SDHC card reader that you can plug into one of the PS3's USB ports.

The PS3 will let you either play directly from the card, or you can copy it to the PS3's hard disk drive and play it from there.
