video editing

hi, i have just bought a hd camcorder and want recomendations for good software for editing. I have a dell latitude d830 laptop with 2 gb ram and 256mb dedicated graphics. processor is intel core 2 duo 2.2ghz which i would use for this. Also to be future proof is there any software out there that enables to burn video at full hd.

Re: video editing

regarding software it would be best to download trials off the internet of the best to see which one suits you best. Sony Vegas, adobe premiere, avid media composer. I know for sure that Sony Vegas 8.0b supports your camcorders files and I presume adobe premiere does.

unfortunately i do not know which software will burn to full 1080p HD but you might need a blu-ray burner if you are going to do long files. sorry
