Advice on a cheap/small camcorder

Hi guys,

I'm going to Prague in 2 weeks time and I'm looking for the best camcorder for my bucks really. The main goal is to capture the sky dive we are doing (I'm gonna strap it to myself)

I've been looking at a Sanyo Xacti VPC-C6 or Toshiba Gigashot GSC-R30 type camcorder.

Something that is small and compact but not overly expensive really.

I'm looking at spending no more then £300 really, have you guys any ideas cos I have no idea what I'm looking for.

Many thanks in advance

Hi guys,

I've found the following Toshiba Camileo Pro HD Camcorder on this website

http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/...Tab=2&NoMapp=0

It looks suitable to me what do you think?

Re: Advice on a cheap/small camcorder

The toshiba is an aiptek model rebranded, do a search on vimeo for aiptek and you will see the quality. I brought one from qvc and took it back instead I got a sanyo hd700 although not perfect it was under £250 at the time and in normal conditions and some fiddling doesn't do too bad. It's probably cheaper now as its going to be replaced by the hd800. You might even get a sanyo hd1000 for near the £300 mark from importers.

Re: Advice on a cheap/small camcorder

Any standard definition SD card HDD or tape model should be on your shortlist
HD for this money is almost certainly a waste of money

If you do get a little shortlist, just puto it on here for comment on pros and cons but I would certainly give the linked one a wide berth..¬
