Canon DM-MV30e Camcorder - tape conversion (PAL) to HDTV.

How can I convert/transfer the 25 tapes (60 minute) recorded in PAL output format so that I can view them in a MP3 player or a HDTV?

Viewing on a HDTV, you can simply connect the camcorder to the TV (using composite video, or S-video if the camcorder supports it). Or you can create DVDs and play those.

To create DVDs, or to create video formats which play on a portable video player:

- Connect the camcorder to a PC using Firewire.
- Capture the video (you can use Movie Maker on Windows, or iMovie on Mac).
- Use video editing software to convert to your format of choice. Movie Maker is fine for capturing, but limited in terms of output formats. mp3 is an audio format, you need to look at what video formats your device accepts, and buy some editing software which supports that format.
