| Battery powered wireless transmitter/reciever
Hi guys,
First up appologies if this is the wrong forum to be posting in, or if this has been posted before; I did a quick search and couldn't find anything on the topic.
Anyway, my problem is that we do a fairly large ammount of film outdoors - we are a small film production company - and we have a couple of camera men. These guys are feeding their views across a cable to where the director sits watching the monitors and giving the camera men feedback through a standard radio.
Basically, this all works perfectly until the camera men need to be further away from the director than the cables will allow, or if the camera men are on a lake - cables drooping in water is not good news. As a result, we are looking for some kind of wireless alternative that is capable of sending PAL video (possibly audio, not 100% neccessary) across a distance (LOS) of around 100m.
These units would be connected to the camera by a variety of outputs (SDI, S-Video etc.) and then streamed across to the monitors. They need to be - obviously - battery powered and have a half decent battery life. As there are two camera men, I would be best if two transmitters can be seen by one reciever.
The budget is around £1-2000. If someone could point me in the right direction (I don't really know what to google for) I would be most appreciative.
Thanks for your time,
Steve
