Sanyo HD700 v Panasonic SD5 - A Few Questions
Hi, please excuse my ignorance. I'm in the market for a (relatively) cheap Hi-def camcorder. General usage will be the usual kids in the garden, holidays, weddings etc.
I've got a PS3 with built in card reader which is where most of the footage will be stored. I also intend to buy a largish external hard drive for storing footage at a later date. I'm drawn to either the Sanyo HD700 or the Panny SD5. The Sanyo is available for £224 from elitegadgets.com, whereas Amazon are doing the SD5 for £350.00 Can anyone tell me if the difference in quality between the 2 units really warrants the additional £125. I don't mind paying the additional if it's worth it. I did find some downloadable footage taken on the HD700 which I played on my PS3 & looked quite impressive. Link By all accounts the Sanyo is quite user friendly with transfer of data to hard drives etc. Is the Panasonic as easy to use?? Any advice or opinions gratefully received! |
