MainConcept MPEG HD Pro, Premiere Pro & AVCHD

Anyone use a combination of the above?
do you think the MainConcept plug-in is worth it? (speed of encoding and decoding)

Premiere Pro is my editor of choice and I just cannot come to terms with using Sony Vegas software, it's too different to what I'm used to and it's taking too long to learn and too long to edit videos

anyone got any comments?
