.mov to .mpeg converter?

I have a Casio Z1080 camera which takes videos in the .MOV format. I need to convert these to .MPEG format. Is there any FREE converter program available please. Thank you.

Have you got a mac or pc? Visual hub will do it on a mac.

Re: .mov to .mpeg converter?

You might be able to do it in one go with the free version of this: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/ConvertXtoDVD

(Just download the 'last free version 0.5.2' from about half way down the page).

It will give you a whole set of authored DVD files, but just rename the .VOB file (the big one!) to .mpg if you need to.

If it won't import your .mov, try converting that to DV in Streamclip first : http://www.squared5.com/
