Canon hg10 - People friendly settings

I have just got a canon hg10 (USA version - £200 cheaper!)

I have been messing about with the settings and wondered what everyone else thought.

Im an amateur filmmaker and Im going to be using the camera to film people indoors mostly. Can someone give suggestions to the best settings for this?

(ps I have tried the camera mode with P24 but to me it just looks blurry)

Re: Canon hg10 - People friendly settings

Forget the P mode, turn off the auto slow shutter, and indoors give it as much light as you can..
and oh.. try and use custom WB.. as much as possible
was my own experience in the 2 months I had it
I tend to avoid a lot of the "effects" as I havent seen that they make a "positive " difference
It shines in daylight and outdoors .
I think that HG 10 aside indoor filming whether of people or not would always means you go for the best low light camcorder you can
As much as I loved thw HG 10 , my worst footage withit wasin doors with artificial lighting.
I really dont think any of the current AVCHD consumer camcorders would be any better. The HDV ones maybe a bit
Moral: use the best lighting you can
