Re: AVCHD discs

Wow, just got a Canon HF10 and was going to get some software this weekend. I am hovering between Sony Vegas Platinum or correl's ulead video 11.5. As they both support AVCHD But 4 hrs for 27 minutes

Having read some of the other posts I am begining to consider a 1Tb hard drive media player type device rather than trying to create discs.

How do other people archive their HD footage any really out of the box ideas?

Let us know the final timing Chris!

Regards

That depends on your PC spec. What prcessor/ram etc are you using.

Best idea yet
Im told that formatted as Fat 32 you can play them off an external USB HDD to the the PS3

Even with a quadcore running an all cylinders . Real time is probably something to aspire to
Which is a shame as I didnt think any extensible recoding occurred with creating an AVCHD disc from AVCDH files
To be sure recodong a 15min Mpeg2 just took about 90 min ( Iwas using very high quality) but once it was mpeg2 it took leass than 7 min to create a DVD complete with motion menu in UleadMF6+ on a P4 3.0ghz 1Gb RAM system
