I want to put my wedding what was captured on a DV tape using the Canon 750i, when connecting up to my pc the Canon is not found, if i put it to memory card the pc finds it but only pictures captured on my canon. i have set my recorder to PLAY/VCR??
I have lost instructions do i need to press any other buttons on it?
it is connected to my pc with a USB2
please help?

USB is not the way to transfer data from DV tape to a computer

You will find that the camcorder has a DV link aka :Firewire, IEEE1394 , I-link
This is the way
Your PC will also need to have a firewire port , and you'll need a suitable cable

Windows Movie maker or any suitable software on the PC will help the capture process ( which unlike with USB is real time)
You also need a big HDD 1 hr of DV AVI from tape =13Gb
Certainly is will "shrink" (and then you can delete the DV AVI) when you make a DVD or turn it into another PC playable format
