Sanyo Xacti HD1010 - anyone got one yet?

Hi,

I contacted Sanyo and got a vague 'its coming out in Autumn' response but quite a few shops are selling this camera now. I assume they are selling a US/foreign version especially as they tend to be sold for £500 (which is £100 more than I expect them to be sold for).

has anyone picked one up? I currently have a Xacti HD2 (the 720p version) which I like.

I don't think that anybody who frequents this place was waiting with bated breath for one, so I'd be surprised if they had.

I've only had the 1010 a week but find it a great improvement on the 1000 (which was already good). Main advantages:
- audio out for monitoring recording and playback (at last)
- better auto focus
- no streaking from overhead lights
- higher quality HD, really outstanding pictures
- full widescreen viewfinder
- less fiddly controls
- shoe for light.
- external mics of most powered kinds seem to work pretty well. I use small Sony and a large Beyer MCE 86

The only downside I've found so far is that it's a bit chunkier than the 1000 and the mini-jacks are really inconveniently positioned at the top of the pistol grip.

Does it still only record in 30fps?
