I have recently been in the hunt for a replacement mini DV camcorder, since my 5 yeard old boy dropped and broke my DCR-PC9E...it was great for the 7 years we spent together

However I don't want to spend lots on a new HD camcorder until the products settle down a little, perhaps next year, instead I will buy a new TV (probably a panny 42PX08)

I have been offered a Sony DCR-PC120E.

My problems come in valuing these older camcorders, I know the DCR-PC120 E was a great camcorder, but what is it worth?
I have the oppurtunity to purchase one fully complete with box, instructions, case, lots of mini DV tapes.extra battery, all leads....in great condition but for around £200.

No idea if this is a good price or not...anyone shed some light on second hand value ...

If its been well used it is a good price
A newer model for that price will most certainly be less well featured

It has a manual focus ring AV in out S video in out DV in out ,
Unless you are unlucky with it, It seems a very good buy ,
Similar HDV models with possibly better colur low light will cost 21/2-3X

I did think it was a good price, but I just struggled with it being a couple of years old...and there wasn't any for sale on the classifieds here.

I think I will try and get this deal sorted, looks a good specced machine.
