Question camcorder timer REMOVAL

Please, does anyone know how to disable the auto-off timer on a camcorder? I want to use it as a security cam directly to a VHS recorder, but the cam switches off if it is only ON and not playing back or recording. I need help!!

Hi,
Is that even without a tape inside?
Mine does the same with a tape inside, but with out a tape, it would stay on 24/7.

Leave the tape out and / or leave the cassette door open.
