iLink port on PC

I have a Sony DCR PC53E Handycam and to transfer tape to PC the manual refers to using a 4x4 iLink cable. The firewire port on my computer will not accept 4 pin plug it is the wider 6 pin type. What do I have to do to make this work?

you can get a cable with the 4 pin on one end and the 6 pin on the other end that should do the trick

Re: iLink port on PC

It won't show up like a external storage drive. But video capturing software should see it connected.
