Advice editing software for Canon HF-10

I'm going to buy a Canon HF-10. Do you have any recommondation for video edition software to use with this cam? I'm not a very advanced user, and I have use Pinnacle 8 some years ago. I have read about Vegas Studio do it support the Canon AVCHD format? (And not only the Sony AVCHD as it say on the web site) Also I would like to have the options to burn to blu-ray later. Or maybe Pinnacle 12 will be more stable..

Re: Advice editing software for Canon HF-10

Hi. Yes, Sony Vegas movie Studio platinum does indeed support the HF10 files.
works very well and you can do a lot in it.
It does have some limitations compared to the full version but you can still do a lot of basic and more advanced editing.
I'm not sure about the BD side, certainly you can output files ready to be burnt to BD.
I found that Vegas runs a lot faster no my PC than Studio 11, not tried version 12 though.
