Needs recommendation for a new camcorder

I bought a camcorder last year which seemed to be ok, and it sucked. I don't wish that to happen again, so I'll be happy if you guys can help me out.

I'm looking for a digital camcorder that will record with vivid colors and high quality. I don't know if HDD based one is the one for me, maybe because it's way to expensive. I won't buy anything with price greater than 700USD$.

Please show me your recommendation. Thanks in advance!

Re: Needs recommendation for a new camcorder

Why are you SHOUTING?

I think he might be disappointed by the HV30. He says he wants vivid colours, which I take to mean oversaturated, in which case he'd be better off with one of the Panasonic SD series, or the Sony HDR-CX7 (if you're in the US) produces beautifully oversaturated video.
