http://www.updatebuy.com/index_eprod...roducts_id=149

fits my needs and has anti-shake, which seems to be the problem with these light weight models.

Re: opinions please on this cheap cheap HD camcorder

For the money, it seems worth a try but I would personally most definitely avoid it
The words "No name" "clever advertising (720p/30 fps) and copying JVCs model no, all make me very wary TBH
Even if it does some of what it says the lack of a brand name for repairs, support ( in case of codec issues ) ect may make it more of "getting what you paid for" rather than a genuine bargain
Im quite happy to be corrected on this one

The words, like, plague and avoid spring to mind.

Thanks for the advice laddies.

Will stick to just using the girlfriends still camera, until either mini DVs jump up in quality, or brand names drop!

Im not sure which MiniDVs youve been using but for quality they are really not lacking and Im not sure much higher they will get seeing as the technology is mature now
It is the Solid state ones that are catching up in quality... (* quickly exits the room*)
OK, all the media formats are able, and all have "lemons"
