Hi All From a newbie, I have about £400 to spend on a camcorder for bird photography so I require the longest telephoto possible the one I have in mind is the Panasonic SDR-H60EB-S Any comments please.

Fair enough if you are going to use a tripod. If not, you'll no manage to hold the cam still enough to be able to film anything much.

Personally, I'd get a good quality cam with a 10x lens and then bung a converter on the end of that. Otherwise you'll end up with something that might be good for filming birds but not much use for anything else.
