Recording back to tape from PC?

I dunno how stupid this sounds, so sorry if its very stupid.. But ive recorded some stuff on my Sony HC5 and edited it all on the pc, is it possible to send it back to the camcorder and archive the stuff on tapes?

Again - sorry if its a silly question..

Not a silly question..
The answer is yes. If you edit your video and save it (render it) as HDV or DV, you can output it back to tape.
How you do that depends on the editor you are using; basically it is the inverse of the capture function. In Vegas (which I use) it's called "Print to Tape".

...and in Adobe Premiere it's 'Export to tape'.
