Microphone

Hi everyone,

I filmed a presentation in a classroom with an NV-GS250 and the sound is not the best quality. Does anyone know of a good microphone that would be usefull for capturing sound that is a bit far away? i have seen one by Panasonic with model number VW-VMS2E. Is this any good in anyone's experience?

Thanks,

Sachin

Re: Microphone

I don't know the Panasonic mic.
I have a Rode Videomic (the mono version, there is also a stereo one) and it's very good.

Re: Microphone

Hey Mark,

Thanks for the reply. Would the Rode one you have work with the NVGS250?

Thanks

Re: Microphone

Sure - it uses a stereo minijack plug; and fits on a standard accessory shoe.

Re: Microphone

The built-in mike on my HG10 is noisy with the slightest wind

Would a mike such as the Rode Videomatic help ?

Re: Microphone

Only if you put a windgag on the Rode; otherwise it will pick up wind noise
