Panasonic hdc-sd1...SDHC card..help!

Hi

New to all this as you may gather from the question....

2 questions that I could do with some help on!

1. In regard to the SDHC cards, the unit is supplied with a 4 gig class 2 card....am I gaining any advantages by buying the faster class 6 cards or is that just a waste of money?

2. It would seem from the user guide that the unit only accepts a max 4 gig card....am I reading that right or can it take bigger cards?

thanks for your time and look forward to your replies

Re: Panasonic hdc-sd1...SDHC card..help!

Class 2 is fast enough to keep up with the recording. No real advantage to a faster card.

I've seen people use 8 GB cards in the SD1 with no problem. When the SD1 came out there was nothing larger than 4 GB available, so they couldn't say it would work with 8 GB.
