Sony HD SR5E - Not connecting to PC

Hi,

I have recently bought the SR5E HDD camcorder but I am having trouble connecting it to my laptop. I have recorded a few videos now and need these off the camcorder and onto my pc.

I am running Vista home premium but unable to connect - on the SR5E it just says connecting but never connects - plus I dont think the driver is set-up correctly on the laptop.

Any thoughts/tips would be much appreciated.

This is something we see quite often with folk using Vista.

I can't offer any solution except ditch it and load XP, but I don't expect that is something that you want to hear.
