I have Sony HDR-CX7, and the Picture motion Browser Software. Used to work on my XP machine. Now I am on Vista, and the software intalls OK but won't run. I get a C++ runtime error for the program SPUBrowser.exe, or sometimes nothing at all.

I tried reinstalling, updating with the Sony Vista update on their site, nothing doing. Sony support says that there's something wrong with my computer and they won't help me, which I find pathetic.

Any suggestions? A web search turned up only a french site where the person had K-Lite codec pack installed and it was conflicting. I don't have that codec pack installed. I do have Premiere CS3 installed. Is there a way to see what codecs are installed or not?

Any other suggestions on this?

I have the K-lite and it DOES interfer with playback but not other functions (I'm on Vista home premium). This is really no big deal for me - I never use the PMB for playback.

Did you run as administrator? Right click on the .exe and the option will show.

I can't even get the program started. I get the error immeditely after trying to run it, even as admin.
