Well i have finally narrowed my selction down to 3:

Canon FS100
Sony DCR-SR35
Panasonic SDR-H40

Can people share their views on the above camcorders as i just want to mkae sure i havent missed anything in my reading. At the moment im leaning towards the Canon, but its proving harder to get my hands on than i thought!

Let me know which SD camcorder you would select from the above.

Personally I'd go for the Panasonic over the Sony - it has the larger ccd, slightly larger zoom and the OIS is usually spot on. Obv, the Sony and Panny are both hard drive recorders (and can use memory cards too), the Canon is a newer model (hence the reason for not many stockists at the mo) and is SD card only, so you'll have to budget for a good couple of faster SDHC's.

I have no experience of the Canon camcorder, but it does look good on paper. There are a couple of marketpace sellers on Amazon who say they have stocks if you want it.

Yeah, i was in the market for an SDHC card camcorder as the cards are getting very cheap, so hence all 2 would fit my needs.

I cant find any decent reviews of the Canon yet, however im guessing thats becasue its still so new.

Any more advice out there?
