Sony DCR-SR72 and trackdays

Hi,

Last year I bought a SM1 camcorder mount from www.b-hague.co.uk to mount my Sony DCR-SR72E to my car, when I do the odd trackday.

My problem is that while the mount works perfectly it transmits the car vibration to the camera, which results in it "shutting down".

Is this typical with hard drive camcorders ?

Is there any setting I can change ?

Can you suggest something to absorb the vibration, shock mount, rubber pad etc
