Vegas & 32 bit AVCHD

Having some problems here.

I am trying to take my sony m2ts files from my SR5 and turn them into edited and joined m2ts files for keeping. The source conent is taken in X.V.Colour and as my sony tv supports this (PC playback), I thought I'd assemble my files using the 32 bit option (floating point) in the render as custom menu. The problem is that when 32 bit is enabled, the vegas crashes complaining about various memory conflicts, or jst closes itself down !

Its driving me bananas - works fine using 8 bit

Has anyone here had a go with the wider colour gamet using vegas?

Thanks in advance.
