Re: which type of DVD disc?

By loads of types do you mean Brands or format .Generally Format used is dvd-r or -Rw the latter allowing reuse but also sometimes abit problematic .Depends what your drive and dvd player use . As for brands again stick with the better known ones and away from the Cheapos .My personal choice Verbatim

Re: which type of DVD disc?

Generally -R is used but you need to know what your player and burner supports most likely it will be -r or both

Re: which type of DVD disc?

I.d go for R but check what your dvd player will play most likely it will be -r or multi format.Another snake in the grass isWriters dont like all brands but thats a suck and see scenario so dont buy too many till you know what its happy with

Re: which type of DVD disc?

Just to emphasize what jaymac previously said, please do not just go for the cheapest discs you can find. I would also recommend Verbatim - today I don't use anything else, even though they are a bit more expensive than most - both my standalone DVD recorder and PC-based DVD burner have previously had problems even with known brands such as TDK and Philips.
