Sony HDD Camcorder Won't Import Audio On Mac

Quick problem -

I recently bought a Sony DCR-SR85 HDD camcorder..it records direct to hardrive. The software that came with it is Sony's Picture Motion Browser..problem is... it doesn't work on my MAC.

I normally edit with Final Cut Pro - tried importing film clips there and it only uploads the video in an mpg file..NO AUDIO. Also tried just pulling the clip off the camera to the hardrive...again I see the video but no audio.

Is there an easy way this can be fixed or some kind of MAC program I can get?
