Old Mini DV conversion

Hello,

I have an old (5 years I think) Canon ZR60. I was recording a video and I wanted to put it on my computer. I do not know how to do this and also there is no place to put a USB or Firewire cord into. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Old Mini DV conversion

Presume you mean your pc has no firewire as the camcorder has firewire and AV out and I think S-video . You could go the dvd recording route if you already have one and use the av out to the dvd recorder Then you can just import the dvd straight into the pc If not fit a firewire card to the pc not expensive at the end will maintain the mini dv quality

Re: Old Mini DV conversion

Surely all MiniDVs have firewire out...
If so you can also record to sett top DVD recorder via firewire ... best method if the Recorder has one
