Need Help transfer my Mini DV tapes with HDV footage

hey, have a problem, i recorded an interview using a HD Camcorder (sony, i think) i used a mini DV tape and i forgot to copy to contents over so i could edit it. Now i've returned the camcorder and cannot get the contents off to edit them as i recorded them in HD format (1080).

i have called places that can help me but have no luck so far (they don't do HD yet)... if anyone could advise of any place in the central london area (zone 1-4) would be very helpful?

Re: Somewhere that can help transfer my Mini DV tapes to a media device

Cant you get the Camcorder back for one or two hrs?
Any HDV camcorder will do
Also you need to think: do you wish to capture as HDV or DV ( or both)
A lot of HDV camcorders will be in private hands and many companies which do own them would use them for video work
Certainly you can hire one and do it yourself but its cost has to be worth it for you
PS :Ill amend your title for clarity
