i have a sony handycam DCR-DVD106 video cam. When i switch it on is says: 'Movie recording disabled' and flashes the cross throught the cd fast.

I have had a look it the operating guide but it is no help. it has many videos on it, however they do not show up when i press to look at them and i put it onto the computer but it still doesnt work.

Any suggestions??

Just a thought butpossibly it wont work on your pc because either you did not finalise it or you recorded in VR mode instead od Vide dvd this can be got round .As to the message on the cam itself that sounds as if the disc itself could be the problem.Assuming you have not tried a new balnk
