Panasonic HDC-HS9

Good Afternoon,

I have purchased the HDC-HS9 Camera and foolishly didnt quite do all the research! I was in receipt of it yesterday, great item, however as part of the role I got it for, requires either AV In/Out and DV In/Out socket. It appears only has Out functionality. Is there anyway of being able to get external audio source into the camera i.e from source to source?? If so, how, and what additional equipment may I have to purchase, or does the camera have to go back??

Many thanks

Re: Panasonic HDC-HS9

It has to go back then. Note DV in only applies to DV cams, not sure you really need that. But if you want AV-in, you need a model which has that (and they are rare). Canon HV20/HV30 is an option. Not sure of any AVCHD cams with AV input.

Re: Panasonic HDC-HS9

I don't think there is one, though you can buy DVRs from www.dogcamsport.com and other places that will accept an AV input.
