they seem to be praising the sr 12 on this talk some saying its pq is on par and even better than the hv 20[cant be all liars can they]

Interesting (and long!) thread. There is one guy who doesn't think it's better than the HV20, but the rest do......

The interesting part is the claim that, in spite of the slightly smaller sensor and much higher pixel count (which generally means poor low light performance), they claim the low light performance is very good; as good or better than the HV20. The new processing engine gets the credit here.

So, another choice to consider, if one wants a HDD-AVCHD cam....

the trouble is one chap[nice bloke]changes cams as often as i change pants and the new one is always better than all the rest.

Hmm... seems we've got a member here who changes his cams quite often (not sure about his pants....). But in his case the new one isn't always better...

Interesting. I had almost decided on a HF10. But now it's going to be difficult to reach a conclusion on wheter to buy a HF10 or a SR11.
