CCD TRV59E help!!

Hi all,

Is there anyway i can transfer my videos to the pc from my Sony CCD TRV59E PAL HandyCam ?

Your camcorder is an old Hi8 analogue model - PC's only work in digital. Therefore you need a way of converting the video to digital so you can get it onto the PC.
There are the fairly cheap USB2.0 options such as Dazzle (link pinched from a post by senu in another thread ) that can give fairly good results. If you want the best possible quality then you are looking at more money for something like the Canopus ADVC Converters.

hi, ive just got that camera from ebay as ive got some old hi8 tapes from my old one i had years ago problem is its not playing them back, its recording and playing that back does anyone know why it is not playing old tapes or does it not work with tapes with a different camera im dying to see whats on my tapes

Were the old tapes recorded in LP? If so then there is a good chance that another camcorder wont be compatible with the LP mode your old cam used.
