mystery socket

I have a Panasonic VHS-C camcorder model NV-VZ9B. I have noticed there is a 20 pin socket on the bottom, under a plastic cover. Anyone have any idea what this is? There is no mention of it in the user manual.

That's a service connection ...useless without software & test equipment.
